The museum sponsors local history programs and talks every couple of months. We also learned about native Americans and how they lived. This casino is a natively owned brand and one of three located in the state. We learned about local entrepreneurs and their businesses and products. Four Winds Casino is a tribal casino located in Dowagiac, Michigan. An earlier visit included two grandsons, and the six-year-old especially enjoyed 'fishing' with a magnetic fishing rod to catch fish found in Michigan and in the process he learned about varieties and their characteristics. Still, it was fascinating to learn new information about agriculture and food in our region and the state of Michigan. We will return when we can spend at least another hour or two. and we arrived at 1:30, we didn't have as much time as we would have liked to really study the special exhibit.
My husband and I visited the Dowagiac Area History Museum last Saturday to see their new exhibit 'Michigan Eats!' Since we didn't realize the Saturday closing time was 2 p.m. Four Winds Dowagiac features 400 slot machines including progressives, which are linked to slot machines in other casinos around the country, that produce.
